I have seen a couple nice ars with mirrors on the underside of their hoods and I cant figure out how they did it? I bought 2 large pieces of mirrored plexiglass and want to do it, but I dont want it to look crappy. Any ideas how?? The ones I have seen are inset in the indentions under the hood.

All the one's I've seen at shows were glued on with a silcone chalk. But, depending upon how much you want to spend you can buy a complete set fro Classic Industries now they are $170.00 for the mrirors and installation materials.

you could've used polished stainless too. It'd be more resistant to shock and heat damage and last longer.

use some pretty good caulk to secure it.

im guessing that they are just cut to the exact same size as the hole.

use paper and a crayon to get a "rubbing" of the holes. (tape a paper over the hole, then rub with the crayon to get an image)

Then cut it out and use a jigsaw to cut your peices to fit, sand them down, and then use a torch to heat the plexi to get a clean, glass-like edge. plop some adhisive on the back and place it in there!

that should be all there is to it.
