Problems with Frame

Hey, guys, I got the body back from the mediablaster and also the frame, the body needs some obvious patch work but I'm a little worried about the frame. There is no rust, one small crack behind the engine crossmember on the passenger side, it looks like someone picked the car up with a forklift in the middle of the car, and the frame itself doesn't sit flat so I think there is a slight twist in it. Sonds like someone had some fun before me at the dragstip. I think what I'm going to do is cut out the side rails and replace them with some 2x3 square tube steel. Anyone have experience with this. its a chevelle right,i doubt its from drag racing most frames are twisted it the middle,may have been hit before.

it is twisted in the middle in the side rails

i follow you.must have had alot of torque.i would use 2x4 tubing,2x3 will require alot of bracing.
