      Looking for a Midwest Shop

I am getting ready to get all the body work done on my 72 and I am looking for a shop here in the midwest. I am located near St. Louis and I am trying to find a place that would replace all the rotten metal, do the body work and paint it. I am willing to travel with it as well if I can get enough positive feedback about one place and they will do it for a reasonable price.

      Midwest Autobody Shops

You could try Parmentier Autobody in Washington, Missouri. A friend of mine is the owner's daughter and office manager and another friend is the shop foreman. They just finished up a 69 Firebird and are close to finishing up my other friends 57. They also did some of the bodywork and paint on my Nova, I did the stirpes and graphics myself.

There is also a guy in Washington that does really good graphics and airbrush work, I believe it is Mayhem. Jim at Parmentier knows who it is.

      Parmentier's number is 636-239-6240
The majority of their work is collision repair but they will do restoration work. Usually only one or two at a time.

My garage should be empty in a month or two. I do the body work and primeing at home then I take it to work where the painter sprays them in the booth on saturdays. I used to paint full time but gave it up because I like the challenges that bodywork gives me. I've been at this full time since 1981. Let me know if you are interested.

He's a new member of this site and from what I've seen, does awsome work. Just met him today at a car show up in O'Fallon.

There is a great shop in Granite City. I will find the name and post it later. I worked at a shop in Collinsville(Gateway motorsports) ANd we built a sweet 69 Camarofor a customer(about $110,000, Now owned by Nelly,Dont get me started about that), anyway they did the paint job, PERFECT. I will post the name I think it is Extreme or somthing, right across the street from them Collage in Granite.
For those who fought for it, FREEDOM, has a taste the protected will never know!!!!!!
