OK I've got my LS1 master cylinder converted to SAE threads, and it'll bolt right up to a proportioning block now, but I don't know where to get one.. What I did is got my replacement pre-bent lines that were SAE double flares, chopped off the ends off, put the metric ends on, and had them bubble flared. So now my master bolts up right, but I need a block for all my lines to go in. My 4 wheel drum one i could make work, because everything will connect right up to it, but I've heard it wont work pressure wise or something. What do I go get to make it work? I'd like to go to the parts store and buy a replacement, or if there's a model car in the junkyard I can pull one off. My car is 4 wheel LS1 brakes, LS1 master.. what do I get?

Well I am doing the same swap right now. I have c5 fronts and LS1 rears. I was planning on running my same distribution block(4wheel drum block). I figured all it does is evenly distribute pressure to the front wheels and then I am going to run a prop valve on the rear. Did you use the LS1 booster??

yes to LS1 booster. C5 is pretty much identical to LS1 front, right? I'd still like a firm answer to whether or not it'll work, though.. anyone know?

What about a 2nd gen transam 4 whl disc valve?

I read some post I found on camaros.net and some people did away with the distribution block and put in a T after the mc for the front brakes and then ran the rear into the prop valve and to the rear brakes. C5 and ls1 are basically the same. Not to get off subject but how did you mount the booster to the firewall and how did you hook up the pushrod.

You can get away with no combination valve, just use an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line. Use the drum brake distribution block if it's convinient.

Thanks, David. That was the answer I was looking for. I've been practicing making flares and bending lines (at where I work, we crashed the head of a CNC lathe, and I had to make new coolant lines using brake line), so with two simple re-flares, and two new ones for the prop valve, my brake system will be plumbed.

Midnight68, I have not mocked up anything, i've only laid it out to get things right in my head, I will get to it the middle of next week, and post my results if need be.
thanks again, everyone.

UPDATE

does this look right??

or should I run the rear one straight to the back of the car instead of through the distribution block?

Is the front port on th MC for the rear brakes and the rear port for the front brakes? If that is the case then your rear line from the mc to the block is correct. I believe that the line from the rear mc port needs to be moved to the left on the block. The port that it is connected to on the block is the out for the rear brakes. Let me know once you get the booster mocked up to the firewall. I am curious how you did it and if you have any thoughts on hooking up the pushrod.

67RScamarovette: Just wondering if you have your LS1 master and booster mounted yet. I am getting ready to do this and was wondering how you mounted it to the firewall?

Thanks

got a thirdgen booster mounted, i drilled out the studs, and welded an extension to the pedal to make it fit. I dunno if the 4th gen is like the 3rd. works fine. LS1 booster bolts to that, fine as well. car's in the bodyshop, havent had time to mess with it in a while.
