I'm installing a C3 Corvette rear with air ride suspension into my 68 Firebird. I've fabricated new offset trailing arms and now need to figure out the brakes. I don't want to use the original setup with the emergency brake inside the rotor. I'm
trying to find a rear brake setup that includes the emergency brake built into the caliper. I've looked at a lot of different setups using calipers from Cadilliac, LS1, & C4 Corvette and I'm stumped. I've researched as much as I can and am still no closer to knowing what to get. I'd like to buy a kit and modify the brackets if needed, instead of buying seperate parts. Can anyone offer some advice?

I have 93-97 Camaro rear calipers on the Monte. They have the Ebrake built into the caliper itself. Basically a lever pushes out the piston to clamp the pads against the rotor. They are the same as the C4 Vette except the "pull" of the Ebrake is towards the center of the car, where the Vette was towards the front. I think I have a Vette caliper in the garage. I will take some pics of it if you want.
Let me know.

EDIT: I just noticed you wanted the e-brake in the caliper. I'm not sure which way wilwood does it. I'll check (unless Laramie chimes in first ..).

I just bought a wilwood kit from precision brakes that does the trick. You need to buy a new ebrake cable from Lokar though.

I got the ds421 rear brake kit. I also got the ds480 front brake kit. Using these 2 together I didn't need a new master cylinder or proportioning valve. They're designed to work together and with the OEM cylinder (and my rear brakes were also drums originally).

Haven't installed them yet though ....

I just bought the rear set up from Touring Classics. They have a link on this site and they are a supporter as well.

The service was great.

I spoke with Noel.

It did sound thay way, didn't it. When I talked to someone at Precision Brakes, I thought he said that Wilwood didn't have a setup with an internal parking brake . I think the misunderstanding came from when I told him I didn't want to use the original Corvette internal drum setup. Now I see that they do have even more to choose from. Now I'm really confused. I've seen systems from $699 to $2300. I emailed Laramie a couple days ago, but I noticed he hasn't posted in a week or so. I'll wait until I can talk to him. I'm sure he can straighten thing out. Thanks for your help.

I just installed the Touring Classics rears on mine. I'm very impressed with the quality of the kit. Hopefully I'll get the fronts on soon! I got the C-5 kit.
