When I bought my 20's, I was originally going to bag the truck and I got 8.5" wheels all the way around so I wouldn't have clearance issues. Now that I've gone away from that idea, I really want to run a wider rim in the rear. I have a couple of options, but I wanted to get some suggestions also.
My first option would be to send two rims back and get them re-hooped. If that's even an option (I've heard some rumors about Boyd Coddington wheels lately) it would be kind of costly...about $800 bucks or so.
I'd really like to update the look of the truck (every sport truck out there has billets on it), so I was thinking of running something a little different, like maybe a 3-piece wheel, or something with that 3-piece look to it. I'm having trouble locating a 6 lug wheel in this style.
Any places that I should look in particular? I would love a Forgeline or Fikse wheel, but just don't want to spend over $1k per rim. Could I get some suggestions of places to start looking for this style of wheel?
