      12" C4 rotor

      Gentlemen, I need a favor.

Does anyone have a 12" C4 rotor laying around that can take the following measurements?

Diameter (tape measure +/- 1/16" is fine.)
      Thickness of the friction surface.
Backspace (distance from the inboard friction surface to the inboard mounting flange.

      Thanks!

Carl I am installing my brakes from Touring Classics and I have a loose 12" rear rotor. When I get home I could take those measurements.

according to my catalog here at work the diameter is 12" exact, the height is 2.205" and the discard thickness is .724" so i would guess new would be around .735? i dont have an actual rotor to measure but those are the specs that napa provides me

Just a heads up on the C4 12" rotors. The offset between the front and rears are different. Not by much, about 1/8" or 3/16" (can't quite remember). Can be used to slightly adjust the position for better fit up to the caliper location.

The rears have the lessor offset.

      Bob,

The 93-7 Z28 rotor is 11-1/2" diameter, while the C4 front is 12". However, as you mentioned, the offset on the C4 is 1/4" more. There's not enough difference in size to make the swap viable, not to mention the re-fabrication of bracketry to make up the difference in offset.
