Is there any adapter or ring that could make non hub centric wheels hub centric. I want to get a set of 15x8 wheels from Summit which are made by wheel vintiques. I have a set of vette wheels but they are 4" backspace and I want 5" backspace. Any ideas?

Since no one has repsonded. I'd just run them as they are and don't loose any sleep over it, people do it all the time, but I'm a little coo-coo. :seizure:

Yes, there are adapters, called hub-centric rings. I would check with Wheel Vintiques to see if they have anything available for your application. Generally the manufacturer of the wheel would be the best place to start.
Yes, you can run the rims without the hub-centric rings, although this may cause vibrations.

Has anyone ever dealt with Pete Pausen house of wheels? I see they have corvette style rallys.
I just sent a set of wheels back to summit because the guys I was dealing with could not tell me how to get these centered, and now I have some new centerlines on the way and they guaranteed me that the et lugs are the way to go. I just recieved the et lugs and they are exactly what I was describing to the summit guys that I needed, I just had not ever had this experience before and did not know what to call them and didnt even know if they existed but I dont feel to dumb since most the summit guys didnt have a clue. I did however find a guy with summit that helped me out with the exchange and find out about the et lugs and hooked me up with customer service at centerline. I tell you it is great to find one of these phone order guys that has a brain and is willing to bend over backwards to make life easier on you instead of harder. FYI his name is cliff his extension is 6141 make a note of it and use him when you order he has been great and he will get all my orders from now on.
btw... I know how it is to not get a response on a post it seems like nobody ever answers the questions that I ask on the forums that I go to.

I bought an adapter ring to do exactly what you are wanting. Check this out. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/brochure/accessories/tmpAccessoriesWheels.jsp
