The lq9 heads are from the 6.0. If you do the swap, only do a ls1. You will regret the other way.
The 6.0 sucks way more gas, is 100 lbs heavier, has only 9.5:1 comp, low end torque cam, huge poor flowing intake, and makes less power. Still an escellent motor, but better suited to a work truck like designed.

The LQ9 sucks more gas because it is 6.0L and it is in a truck. On a budget buildup, there is no reason not to have the LQ9 as a viable option. If you aren't in a hurry, I would wait until a few of the aluminum block L92s start hitting the wrecking yards. Those are from the 2007 Escalades.
