Vince, I (and I think a few others) from this site are running the 3rd-gen brackets and accessories. If you shop around, you can find it reasonably priced, and it works great. I've spun mine (accidentally) to 6K with no issues. You can see some pics of the setup on my site - link is in my sig.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

TPI your car looks great.
i have some questions that i hope you can answer, since i wont be using ac, or smog stuff, will this still work for my application. and also will the system bolt up to my vortec heads?
thanks

Thanks for the compliment on my car! Since I took those pics, I've removed the AIR stuff and re-routed the belt. I found a diagram on www.thirdgen.org that had a few pics of how to re-route a serpentine belt setup to remove certain parts. Also, GM makes an AC delete pulley and an AIR delete pulley, so you could do that as well. They will bolt right up to Vortecs. Hope that helps ya!

thanks for the link TPI, is it possible to mount the alt on the opposite side of the power steering pump? also using these re-routing tips would i still need those delete pulleys?
thanks for all your help and time
