Door innards rattle a bit, how to stop?

I brought the car home today from the garage and the interior is not quite fully installed, matter of fact, I have no door panels, no kick panels, no rear panels, and only the carper and the driver seat installed. I noticed that the door opening rod and the electric-life window regulator arms rattled a bit at certain RPM's, any one have any ideas how to stop that or at least cut down a bit of that noise?

Could you split some small heat shrink and slip over the rod and heat it? Should stop the metal to metal noise.

I sliced some vacuum line and installed it over all the rods that I could, like insulating pipes in the basement. The door lock rod (the one you pull up on) made the most noise in my door. Much better.

The factory used cloth sleeving to stop it . Did you remove it or did it rot off? Heat shrink should work and you might not have to do it so it is tight ,just enough so that it doesn't move.

I hate rattles too, makes you think your car is cheap doesn't it. systematically sheild the rattles and then close it up and turn upt he radio or rev the engine in peace.

Ford uses a real flexible foam to isolate the rods where they touch the shell. You might try that or rubber hose.
