Was wondering what shifter options there are for the 4L80E trans?

B&M. Hurst, TCI--They all make floor shifters with 4 speed patterns. I currently have a B&M Hammer. I hate it. It's too complicated. Ratchet action, plus reverse lockout, plus an overcomplicated indicator light assm, plus all the parts required to make a movable leather boot.

Whatever you choose, keep it simple.

I like that solution even better. I met Herb and his wife at SEMA. Nice people. Find them here.

For Jim Mulvey's 69 Camaro-which has a 4L80E--we are adapting a shifter out of a new Jeep Grand Cherokee that has manumatic capability (+/- branching off the D position) This way Jim will be able to change gears from either the paddle shifter or the floor shifter. Looks like we spent about $400 at the Chrysler dealer to make it happen. But it should work killer. I'll keep you posted.

Steve thanks again for that info I was thinking of going with the paddle shifter also. Maybe 4th gen camaro shifter.
