I would like a custom length lower front control arm for a fox mustang. I would like it to have the typical urethane bushings at the chassis side, stock 94+ ball joint & the sway bar mount. I can provide an example arm for dimensions, but I would want the final to be .75" shorter than the one I provide. I know I need "a fab shop" but I don't believe we have anything local that would jig this up and get all the dimensions within a tolerable spec. Does anyone here do this type of work? Just to be clear, due to some health stuff, it will be 4 months or so before I am ready to do anything, but I would like to know my options.

Make some phone calls into the west-coast desert off-roader world. Building custom control arms is routine for those guys.

BTW, is there a way to modify stock control arms into what you want? Chop them in half & shorten them or something?

People will look at a modified arm and say "Umm, I wouldn't trust a welded-up part like that." But they will trust an arm that that's welded together in 3-4 important places if it came from a catalog.
