Hi I've had no luck getting an answer to this question:

I've got a 69 Camaro with Detroit Speed Subframe

Will a 17" x 10" wheel fit on the front of my car?
On the DSE SF info sheet it only shows 17x8 then mentions 18s & 19s
I'm guessing it has to do with the control arms and/or tie rods but I'd really like a confirmation.
I did contact DSE but they didn't really answer the question

Thanks!

The inner diameter of a 17" wheel won't clear the control arms when turning. That is why the backspace is so shallow on the 17x8 recommendation.

Shoot. I've seen other guys run 17x9.5 w 275 tires up front. I assume that's on a stock subframe? Sucks that the DSE sub only allows a 17x8 then :(
I prefer 17s over 18 or 19

Pretty sure tire selection is better with 18 or 19.

Yes it is. I just prefer the look of 17s (more sidewall etc)
