Makes sense to me that my ABS converted Camaro no longer needs the proportioning valve. Am I correct here??

I too have the same question.

If you have too much rear brake, you will engage the ABS often and that sucks. If you know your bias is correct then you do not need the prop valve.
Anecdata. The MK60 I just did I was pretty confident in the caliper sizing so I left out the prop valve and I think I am putting it back in this week. It's fine in normal driving and even low speed autox stuff as it helps the car rotate but at higher speeds and higher force braking it is too much rear and the ABS is constantly gathering the car up. I will most likely run the prop valve at full pressure but I think the car needs the knee point where front/rear pressure diverge as braking input increases.
