68 Camaro tire recommendations

I have a 68 Camaro with an LS3 and Ridetech suspension with a 60 inch wide Currie 9 inch. The car is not mini tubbed (at this time). Although I would love to, the cost of tubbing and wheels has me on hold.

The car has 275/40/18 and 245/40/18 Nitto NT05s on it that are worn.

I only street drive it now and occasionally do Goodguys autocross.

Any suggestions for new tires? Michelins, Continental, Goodyears? Looking for best ride. I rarely drive in rain (I live in Arizona).

Also considering charging aspect ratio to 35/30 (rear/front) depending on availability. I will also powder coat the wheels satin black. 216080216081216082216083

I can’t find a 275/30 rear so I figure. 275/35 is better than the 275/40 I have now.

The 275/40R18 will have better forward bite. Plus IMHO it fills the rear arches better. Similarly with the fronts, it looks more appropriate when you have a 25.5"-26" tall tire. I would keep the stagger as you have it.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s are a strong performing budget tire.

For a little higher budget: Yokohama ADVAN A052, Michelin Pilot Super Sport, or Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02.

Front 18x8 with 4.75

Running 275/35 and 245/40

I have similar US mag wheels with .25 less BS. They fit ok but I think the extra .25 would help.
