Bump stop clearance in lowered 77 Trans Am

Should I cut down my bump stops after lowering my Trans Am? There’s about a 1/4 inch of clearance. It drives nicely but hits pretty hard on bumps. Perhaps I should try a progressive type of bump stop instead?

It is already progressive based on the shape of it. How old are they? Sometimes new ones are softer.

To your question, I would probably cut it down.

Thanks Donny. I had replaced them back in 2016. Any suggestions on how much distance I should have between the top of the stop and the frame?
