Coilovers Making Noise

My driver side coilover has been making noise ever since I installed it. Only the driver side. There are rub marks on both sides of the coilover. I believe it is bottoming out.

Yes, that's rubbing on something.

What is the application? is that a coil-over sleeve on a normal shock? Do you have ride height set lower than stock? if so, how much?

Find what it's rubbing, and remove material of that. If its rubbing the spring somehow... don't grind the spring though.

Is the shock bottoming out? How low is the ride height? Is the shock roughly centered in its stroke at ride height? It needs to be….

I'll bet that it's rubbing on the frame, specifically the inside of the sping bucket.
