      Navigation In-Dash (4th gen in 69)

I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts and especially enjoy the tips for the 4th gen install on the 69 (Dash, concole, etc). Here is my question:

      1. Has anyone tried installing an in-dash navigation system? I have thought about doing the interior in a 4th gen style (now I will, thanks to you all) and I wanted to add two things. I want a built-in, hidden radar detector and an in dash navigation system. I know you can buy the CD/DVD/NAV stereo things or portable ones, but I wanted to install one like the Lexus SUV's have (in dash). I have seen them on ebay for about $2K. Any ideas, thoughts?

I think i'm going to try and make it work. After looking at the pics of your car I think I could make it fly. Perhaps cut out a spot where the three vents are above the radio. I need to get the exact measurements of the different in-dash systems first. But I'm sure I could move those vents and/or the radio around a little and make room for it.
I could always lose those vents right there in the center...but I like the A/C...I suppose if I did lose them for this setup I could navigate myself to a colder place.
