Wilwood Rear FDLI with parking brake will not center on rotor. Kit PN 140-7140-DR

I am installing my disc brake kit on a ford 9in and the calipers are not fitting. The calipers are contacting the rotors on the outside face and are not even close to being able to fit correctly. I have measured everything according to the wilwood dimensions found on their website and I can't find anything out of spec. I have 2.5" of offset from the front face of the axle to the axle housing. The axle is a big bearing torino style.

I see that there are two spacer plates on the caliper mount. Is it an option to remove one to allow the caliper to be better centered on the rotors. I did not see any indication of this in the wilwood instructions but it does look like a logical method to get close to the proper center before shimming.Name: 20230826_140718.jpg

Looks like the pistons on one side are sticking out further than the other side

Once you bolt them down they should center fine

      If thats the case

Thank you for replying Sinister. I checked the caliper and the pistons are all flush with the bores. I have now assembled the system with even washer stacks to get an idea of what it should take to center the caliper. I removed what I thought were two shims only to find they are one die-cast spacer PN 300-9503. I am hoping once I know what the thickness of the washers stacks are then I can buy a new spacer of the needed thickness or mill mine down at work

Though this all seems logical to me I will call Wilwood Moday to see what they think first.

I think you could take out one of those thick spacers but if you did that, it looks like the caliper bracket would contact the rotor. Looking forward to hearing what Wilwood says today.

Are the rotors seated all the way on the axle face? Wheel studs and axle register can prevent this from happening.

Are the axles all the way in the axle housing?

I am pretty sure the axles are all the way in. I have measured the distance from the front face of the axle pad to the front face of the Axle tube bearing retainer pad it measures 2.5". I will also check this distance again when I get home.
