Hey Fellas -

Just took a quick video. The 'scratchy' or 'grumbling noise' is this normal? I can hear it in the video. Hope it comes through OK. It is like 'breath, scratch, scratch - breath, scratch, scratch'

Have you checked the oil level in the blower?

Found some oil leaking here as well. Might need new seals.

Yeah, check that oil level!

Even with no visible leaks. Maintenance should be done at regular intervals.

Edit: I just now saw your above photo. I use a gasket not silicone.

And this kit: https://theblowershop.com/product/front-bearing-and-seal-kit-1152/

This is new to me. First time I've had an engine with a blower on it. I don't notice any easy way to drain/fill/change the oil haha. Might have to take it in. Engine was assembled in 2012/14. I don't think much maintenance has been done since then at all. Not a whole lot of miles were put on it.
