I have a front subframe that uses C5/C6 control arms. I’m going to replace the ball joints. I found the GM uppers but am having trouble with the lowers. Rock auto and every other online parts supplier recommends the ACDelco 45D2339 so I ordered a set. My original joints measure 1.921” and the Delco measures 1.933”. Way too much interference for any press fit I’ve ever felt with.

GM deems the ball joints as non serviceable. I called my local GM dealer and they can’t find a GM part number for the ball joint by itself, they want to sell a new control arm with joints and bushings.

Id like to figure out something that works before I order something else that won’t fit. So if anyone had suggestions, I’d appreciate the input.

Have you tried the Moog K6537?

Edit:
According to Summit Racing:
Outside diameter - 2.180 in.
Inside diameter - 1.920 in.
Height - 3.970 in.
Stud taper - 0.046 in.

Assuming the 1.920 is the diameter you are asking about.

Thanks Sam. The k6537 is another they recommend but I couldn’t find the specs on it. I found that DSE also sells replacement joints that fit the c5/c6 arms. Their diameter is 1.926. I measured my OEM ones again and they are 1.924-5. The diameter I typed above is the hole in the arm. (Had a brain fart last night). I still think the delco is too large but people are probably getting away with it. I think I’ll just order the DSE ones.
