I have a 69 camaro I will be running 14 inch 6 piston manual brakes. I currently have the 600 series tilton pedal box. I am starting to second guess whether this is a good idea or not. I have heard conflicting things about using it vs the stock pedal set up. I am still within the Summit return period so at least I can get my money back if I need to. I know it will take some fabrication and thats perfectly fine but I am wondering if I will gain anything over the stock pedals. My original thought was for the fact they would maybe line up better the the stock pedals do?
Thanks!

I'm in an A body, so similar pedals probably, different layout perhaps. From my perspective, the stock pedals have play in literally every direction. The mustang Steve kit that adds roller bearings helps, but there is still side to side movement. And when I added my T56, A body guys have to cut up the stamping that connects the dash/steering to firewall...it's fine, but doens't feel great.
The Tilton pedals obviously don't have any of those issues and would probly feel amazing. The downside is the brake pedal ends up offset from it's current location due to the steering shaft being right in the way. Maybe Fbodies don't have this issue, not sure.
I talked with The_Oldsmobeast a few weeks ago and he is running the Tilton 600's and likes them. I 've bene thinking about going that route as well.
