I am getting ready to order and install Vintage Air in my Pro-Touring 68 Camaro with a smoothed firewall. The videos/instructions call for drilling holes in your firewall.

Is it possible to mount it without
drilling into my perfectly clean firewall?

Yes, one way we do it is to use elevator bolts and panel bond them to the inside of the firewall. If prepped right, they’ll never come off.

Not sure if you have pulled the trigger on the vintage air stuff yet but if i had it to do over, id go with some type of factory setup that is controlled by the ecm. That way, when the compressor kicks on, the ecm can adjust for the extra load on the engine and not bog down. Worth checking into.
