Does anybody know which temperature sensor (part number) is recommended for the Holley Sniper? I saw on YouTube it’s a tx3 but I want to make sure if there is a specific part number for it

Should be in the instructions.

TX3 is the Standard Motor Products part number for the CTS in the Sniper. Let me know if I can help with the tuning.

I just ordered one from Holley and that fixed the problem. The problem I’ve been having if cooling, I can’t keep the temperature from climbing. I’ve changed the water pump, thermostat, changed to a 2500 cfm electric fan, went back to a stock 3 row radiator which I flushed out and still can’t keep it from climbing. I’m wondering if this Summit fan shroud might not be letting enough air go through it. I’ll probably go back to a stock set up to see it that’s the culprit, what else can it be?

Post pictures of your fan and shroud

The trouble is that most fan cfm ratings are completely bogus. I trust Spal fan ratings and no one else. Cold Case for example has complete BS for their fan ratings.
A better indicator is current. A decent fan is going to consume a lot of current, roughly 30 amps or more.
A two row aluminum radiator with 1” or larger tubes should outperform a stock 3 row radiator by a wide margin.

When do the temps climb?
If when sitting still, it’s not moving enough air through the core; so crappy fan, fan not covering enough of the core without a shroud, or shroud too close to core and not allowing air through.
If when going over 40mph you have all the airflow you need. So it could be the fan/shroud blocking the core, not an efficient radiator, etc.
Also how high does it get?
I hear it all the time, “my LS is running hot”. I ask how hot? “200-205”.
That’s not hot, that’s just getting warm.

Vintage Air sells a monster 850 watt fan for first Gen Camaros. I have a couple of customers using it and it works well. You won't be able to run it with the Sniper, but Spal offers a little stand alone controller for it.
Look up VA part number 371253
The instructions have a lot of good information.

Make sure your fan isn’t running backwards, pushing instead of pulling. It happens…. :)
