I'm working on my trunk mounted battery starting/charging circuit plan and thinking I would like to just run a single 1/0 wire from the battery to the starter, and then run 4/0 to the 175amp alternator from the starter through a distribution block. I would like to use a blue sea 187 surface mount 200 amp breaker at the battery in the trunk. Think that would start and run the car without tripping?

I'm running mine off a 200 amp glass block style post mount fuse cranking a 10.2:1 Big Block

Thanks, so you have the power to the body and the starter both on that 200amp fuse? Sounds like it should work then.

That's what I'm running, bit larger cable though.
