      Squished Upper ball joint bushing?

Might seem like a trivial question and maybe it is; installed tubular upper control arms and qa1 coil overs up front and my ball joint isn't lined up that great to the upper spindle and it actually squished and cut the poly bushings on both sides. Any ideas? 67 firebird btw. Thanks

Are we talking the actual control arm bushings where the bolts/nuts go? Or the ball joint boots?

I’m guessing it’s the ball joint boots. If your ball joints are at that extreme of an angle I’d suspect you might have an incompatible upper A arm and spindle combo. What’s the rest of your setup?

Sorry for the confusion, yes it's the boots themselves. Not sure of the brand arms but both upper and lower are of the same company and the front coil overs are qa1 (sleeve and coil spring type, not "real" coil overs). I wonder if I need an adjustable upper control arm to move a bit to get rid of that angle?

Car is lowered, I think I just need a .5 or .9" taller ball joint
