I am trying to pull together all the information I can find on doing this swap but cannot find a particular post. I vaguely remeber someone suggesting that the axles need to be shimmed in some way to prevent pad kickback? Can anyone elaborate?

It seems that it was David Pozzi suggesting that there be a shim placed in the carrier between the pin and end of the axle or some such thing...

I didn't use any sort of shim. Seems to be working fine.

I know on my 30 year old axle the flanges werent so straight anymore and I had to shim it to get the caliper to be in line with the rotor? But I just recently went in and straightened them out and now there is no shims in there.
