      18" CCW ID measurements

Gentlemen, I thought a couple of guys were running these wheels (CCW 18" 3 piece Classic) and I have a question. I need to know the ID of the wheel hoop. The reason I ask is that there is potentially an interference problem with the tie rod end on my IRS. I have made a template based on 16" ID and there will certainly be contact. Can anyone confirm this number for me? This will be an 11" wide rim.

      Thanks in advance, Noel.

      Anyone?

Anyone one with any kind of 18 rim? I would certainly appreciate an inside diameter measurement. Thanks for the help.

      Noel.

Noel, I have a pair of C5 rears that I can measure tonight- but why don't you call CCW? They should be able to give you the info you need. I'll get the C5's ID tonight and post it, but I don't know how accurately that will cross to any other rims.

Or the next night! At the inner edge of the rim they are 17 7/8" diameter, with a steady taper down to 16 1/4" at the hub mounting surface plane. HTH.

Thank you very much. I actually took your advice and just called, their answer was remarkably similar to yours. I really do appreciate the help Brian.

      Chill, Noel.
