Hello,
Is anybody running the TMI Sport II door panels on their 1st gen Camaro? I like the look of the vertical pleating and think it would go well with my ProCar Rally seats. Just curious about quality and fitment - they are not cheap! My other option is to convert from standard door panels to deluxe but that's a little involved too.
Thanks,
David

I am checking out TMI panels as well, seem to be good quality pieces but I am going to get an appointment with a custom interior shop local to me and find out how much it would cost to have them make something custom, just to compare

The shop just got done putting mine in and I dont know the exact details but I was told the door panels were too long and would not allow the doors to close took. The quarter panel covers were off in a way that it bound up the rear windows to the point they would not roll up or down.
So..... They work but don't expect them to be plug and play.

Hhmmm. I thought about going custom but I thought it would be quite a bit more money. Plus, the TMI Sport II has the vertical pleats I am looking for.
That's concerning that the panels don't fit cwylie. I thought TMI had a good reputation for quality. Not even sure what the fix would be for that? Peel back the vinyl, trim the fiberglass base, and reattach the vinyl?? No way should you have to do that for the money they cost. If you get any more details or pictures please pass them along.
It looks like the bases are all the same for the Sport series. Has anyone had any issues with the Sport R, XR, etc??
Thnks,
David

Hey cwylie - did you ever get some more details on the issues with the TMI door panels and what it took/takes to get them to fit correctly??
Thanks - David

Thanks - would love to see some pictures of the installed panels if you can.
I've been waiting on a TMI order since Nov. 2021. Door panels and center console and it's the same old story, they are in production and should be ready in two more weeks. The quality and service of TMI has gone off recently and they continue to hike their prices. I'm looking for alternatives to TMI.

Did you get your car back cwylie and find out what mods were needed to fit the door panels?
Any news on your TMI stuff Halo?
Thanks!

i am running the TMI headliner and pillar posts. Mine too were too big but the headliner fits alot better than the pillar post. Ended up trying to modify them and junked them. I knew i was looking at getting new ones anyway so i tried to modify for proper fitment and messed them up.
