year one Pontiac rally 11 wheels on a 67 firebird. tire size help

is anyone running these wheels on a camero or firebird? what tires are you running?
i have a 67 bird lowered 2 in the front and 1.5 in the rear, 4 wheel disc brakes, 5.3 ls with a 4l60e.
i just purchased 17x8 4.5 bs for the front and 17x9 5bs for the rear.
the front springs are for a sb chevy 2" drop .
would like to see pics if you have them. i would appreciate any help you can give me.

Ideally 1967/68 F-bodies like 6-8mm offset. With the zero offset fronts and disc brakes, you'll fit 235/45 and at the most. The 9" rears are technically 3mm offset, which is closer, but then the Firebird's 8.2 Pontiac rear (if original) is wider (I think about .25") than a Camaro or Nova.

These cars managed 275/40s on the rear, but there's no mention if the rearends are stock Pontiac, or disc brakes. Safer bet would be 255/45s. If you really think you want the 275s, mount the rims first and measure, measure, measure.

I have a 69 so my fenders allow for a bit more room but I can share what I'm currently running. I have discs all around and a Ford 9" currently. Rally II reproductions in 17x8 front (4.500 bs), 17x9 rear (5.250" bs) with 235/45/17 front and 255/50/17 rear. The vender I bought them from said I was first to buy them for a 1st gen as mostly 2nd gen guys buy them he said, so he couldn't give me any advice. Thus I went conservative.

When I received them, I put the rears on the front just to try and they fit with room to spare. On the rear I did need to beat my inner lip just a tiny amount and I do have tubular a-arms in the front. In hind sight I should have bought 4 of the rears.

I'll be changing all my suspension again next year and when I do, I'll be getting measured for fully custom wheels to take full advantage of ALL the room I have. I still plan on having them made to look like Rally IIs.
