Want to run kooks mid length PN # 29101400 .
Anyone use them?

rear or front mounted rack? Drivers side header will probably interfere with steering linkage on the rear mount rack

It is a rear mounted rack on a speedtech subframe not the factory subframe

I've done a lot of research in the past and have not found any confirmation of any other mid or long tube headers fitting other than the ultimate or stainless works which are both provided by speedtech. annoying I know. if you find anything that doesn't hit the ground or cause new issues let us know

10-4 same I've found. Speedtech recommended the long tubes. Dale a Schwartz says he likes the Ultimate Mid Lengths on the first gens
I really like Kooks products and they offer with LS7 flanges but no guarantee on the mid lengths. The tech guy Cameron I spoke with said they SHOULD fit.

my understanding is that the modified Stainless Works headers from Speedtech fit and allow you to use a single shaft for steering. We used the Stainless Works LS swap headers, Stock subframe, and unisteer rack (remarkably similar lay out to yours) and had to use the unisteer BBC steering linkage kit. There were a couple more tricks needed, but I don't think they will be necessary with the Speedtech subframe. Here are a couple of pics175809175810

Wow that's tight on the steering shaft.
Thanks for the photos. The Speedtech does have some slimmer areas on it.
But I'm still leaning towards mid lengths
Just o not have all the header dings down low if I went with long tubes

Also your frame looks good undercoated and what motor mounts are those?

i thought i had a pic from under the car. the headers tuck really well and we have yet to smack them on anything. And, our car is really low.
The frame is actually powder coated and has a texture; hides lots of flaws. ha
the frame stands are factory BBC stands, Moroso solid mounts, and dirty dingo sliders. The BBC stands move the engine towards to passenger side and gave us clearance for the rack fittings

For those of you with the original speedtech front sub frame. I did pull the trigger on the ultimate headers through speedtech and could not be happier with the fitment
