I’m looking for feedback on my engine plans.

454 2 bolt main block w/ main studs
Eagle 3.75” stroke 4340 crank
Eagle +.25” long rods
10.5 comp. Forged pistons
Brodix Race Rite oval port heads
Solid roller cam ???specs
Team G intake
Reworked 750 Holley DP
I’m looking for a motor to be able to hold its own at the drags and able to turns some RPM’s during an occasional open track event while still being "street-able". Please let me know what you think before I make a mistake...
Thanks

That is a 427. Basically a 427 is a 396 crank in a 454 block. Yes it will be capable of turing some Rsssss. You can save a ton of money and buy a factory steel crank number 6223 for $100 or so, and it will take anything you are going to throw at it. She will easlity make 600+ with a 265 / 270 @ .050, mid 650s lift, grind it on 110 to reduce overlap. It should easily turn low 7000RPMs

For all the weight of putting that motor in the front of the car you should at least have the cubes to go with it.

I wouldn't worry about spinning a well built big block enough RPM, but if thats what you are after throw a built small block in there, a 400 based motor has the same stroke as that 427.
