2016 -2018 electric ebrake in a first gen

Hey fellow enthusiasts - Has anyone tried using the 6th gen console with the electric ebrake? I am thinking it’s just servos and still uses cables going back to the brakes? Thanks in advance... I have exhausted google and I found the actuator for about 120.00

In my build I used this kit, it’s cheap. I mounted it in the trunk floor under the package tray. The question is if you can use the button on the 6th gen console to use it. I have not played with that yet, but I don’t see why not. I believe it’s a simple polarity switch. There’s a programmable box you can also use I think it’s like $150 that you can program any switch to do anything you want. It’s posted in the electrical section I forgot the name of it.

I was looking at the c7 electric parking brake too and was unable to find anything or any schematics. Hopefully you get and answer.

Thank you for the follow up! Does the unit beep and is it slow to respond like the ones for sale on summit ??

I hooked up the actuater to a motorcycle 12v battery and it worked pretty quickly. No beeps.

Perfect !!! The E stoop one looks and sounds horrendous

I never heard the estop one but the kit I have the actuater is inside that metal box which quiets it down a lot plus I figured I can put some sound deadening inside to further quiet it.
