Hey guys,
I’ve been a long time forum lurker, and have came across some great info on the forums here for my build, but I haven’t been able to find a good answer to this question. Im building a 69 Camaro convertible, and I’m looking for some help with figuring out what I can use for some cheap mock up/shop roller wheels. I don’t have the cash to get my 18” wheels yet since my car is at the body shop and has just been painted. The car currently has some old 14” rally wheels on it since it still has the rear drums and small front disc brakes. I got my 13” Baer kit and want to put that on once it gets back from paint. I have seen the rugged rollers at (https://www.ruggedrollers.com (https://www.ruggedrollers.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkK_o4M3w2gIVVrbACh2nwA2vEAMYASA AEgIyafD_BwE)), but I have read somewhere on the forum to go to the junkyard and get 4 compact spare tires to use and that they should have clearance to get the brakes on and what not. My question is, does anyone know if there is any 18” spares out there that are 18” and have the 5x4.75 or 5x120.65 bolt pattern? It seems that all the new gm wheels are the 5x120? Or are the 5x120 pattern wheels close enough that I could open the holes slightly with a die grinder since I won’t be driving on them and I can get them for like $10 a piece at my local junkyard? What do you guys use? Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’ve never had to deal with things like this. It’s my first time taking on a complete build like this. Thanks in advance
Nick
