So I have decided not to stick with the 20's that are on the car but rather go with an 18" rim/tire package. I believe they should fit without an issue but I wanted to run it by you all so that if I happen to be wrong I didn't just throw away my money.
Car is a 70 Camaro, has a 2" Hotchkis drop up front and a 1 1/2" Hotchkis drop in the rear. 12” Wilwood brakes with 6 & 4 piston calipers. I know the brakes are not an issue with the 18’s.
The new rims in question are 18x8 up front with a 4.5BS and 0+ offset. Tires I'm looking at are 245/45/18. The rear rims are 18x9.5 with a 5.25BS and 0+ offset. Tires I'm looking at are 275/40/18.
Do any of you foresee any problems I may have? Will I need a 1/4" spacer? Should I go with adifferent tire size?
I/m hoping to place the order today. As always your help and opinions are always appreciated!!!
