I am looking to purchase a new seat of seats for my '93 Mustang GT Convertible, it will see occasional autocross, occasional sunny weather street use. I'm sure there are many seats that will fit the bill.

For this purchase I've been looking at Corbeau RRS (which offers rear seat covers to match), Braum Elite-X, and Cipher 2001/9, though I have experience with none of them.

My main question between all 3 is the similarities in size, fit, finish, pattern and even materials. Are all 3 of these manufacturers pushed out of the same facility and just branded per the distribution company?

Are there any any other manufacturers a that are in the $1,000 or under for a front pair that exceed the listed brands in comfort, capability, longevity, and seat to roof clearance?

Would like to hear in depth opinions and what's out there beyond the normal "picture, brand, and height/weight" threads

Thanks

Ended up ordering a set of BRAUM Elite-X Komodo in black. I’ll start a project build and review there.

At this point the disappointment is the lack of a backseat program by most seat manufacturers.

Check out Scat Procar Elites or Rally's. Matching rear seat covers are also available.

Let us know what you think of the Braum seats after you get some time in them. I've seen some recovered Braum's that turned out great, but I wasn't sure how comfortable they are or how well they would hold up. I bought some recovered Recaro Specialist M seats that turned out fantastic, but I don't know if I like the flatter style seat bottom shape. Once the car is finished and they are in, I may like then more as I won't have to climb over bolsters to get in/out......
