I have a problem with the low mount fit of a sanden compressor I have the Dirty Dingo bracket and idler set up, if I notch the frame, it will still sit out too far forward it seems, any more to the rear and it will hit the motor mount, would it help to use the stock compressor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also is it possible to swap the v drive pulley on the compressor for the surpentine style?

You can try the Kwik bracket with the Sanden SD7 compressor. It is at the bottom of this page:

You will need Corvette accessories.

Thanks Dutton. Looks like those top mounts would work but I was hoping to keep it down low. I'm researching this as I go and I found that I can't run the stock compressor with the Vintage Air systen I have.

The low mount is at the bottom of the page....

It seems that most low mount brackets use the Sanden mini compressor, due to the locations of the freon ports.
And yes, you can swap out the pulley to a serpentine one, but IIRC it costs around $120 for the pulley/clutch set up.

I agree that the 508 won't work with your application. The SD7 would give you 1.59" more clearance and the connections would be right below your heater lose connections which might also help. I don't know from your pic if that's enough, but very interested in if the Dirty Dingo low mount SD7 will work. It's PN DD-LS-AC-LM-TR for truck and late model Camaro sppacing.
IF you make that work, please let us know.
Kwik performance. They have one that worked for me with the f body set up. Works great and uses the stock tensioner pulley though it relocates it.

Thanks everyone, I think the Sanden SD7 will work, I will update when it arrives.

An alternate would be a different 5 series Sanden. A 508 displaces 8 Cu in/revolution, there is also 507 and 505 models that are shorter due to the shorter stroke for reduced displacement.
Are you using factory or aftermarket air? Typically factory systems require more displacement than an aftermarket system. If you're running something like a Vintage Air, you may be able to go down to a 505. Check with the manufacturer

What accessories are you using? Holley has a low mount SD-7 bracket that will fit any accessory drive setup. I'm in the same boat & trying to figure out how to push the compressor forward to run on the same belt as all the other accessories.
