hey guys been a while since i been on here but im almost done with my 78 camaro 6.0/4l80e swap and i went with a Holley dominator ecu, i want to do paddle shift and was wondering if its possible to get an adapter or something to fix a newer vette or camaro paddle shift steering wheel to the steering column of my 78 or if anyone knew of a reasonably priced add-on paddle shift mechanism. dont need the controller just the shifter. thanks

As far as I know most modern cars wheels interface into the bcm which would make it very difficult to swap over and have the buttons function

that really shouldnt matter since all i need is the physical contact switch in the steering wheel, ive thought about using the steering wheel that has the two nitrous buttons on it and use it for up and down but i dont really want to go that route, im starting to debate on just designing something and using my 3d printer or cnc router to cut it out and attach it to my steering wheel. i just figured there would be some kind of adapter made that can adapt a newer vette or camaro wheel to the old steering column.

The contacts may not necessarily run 12 volts which is where the problem can be ....and no I've never seen anyone manufacture an adapter for a modern wheel to an old column. The whole air bag thing plays in that
