Reason I'm asking is because I am running a front motor plate and if I add a conventional compressor, I'll probably have to re-configure my entire serpentine belt setup. That and having a big block Mopar, we are the red headed stepchild of the aftermarket community. The setup I'm looking at only includes the unit, condenser, ECU, and some hoses. I'll also have to buy a Vintage Air dash unit with the switches and wiring and probably a 180amp alternator. I have a 140amp on there now...might work? Altogether I'm looking at piecing this thing together for around 2G's.
I have checked Vintage Air's website and they say that the technology is not quite there yet vs a compressor setup. Being in the Texas summer, driving a black on black car, and me and my wife are starting to get a little cranky in our older age....this heat is getting to us. Anyone ever run one of these things?
