      OEM interior finishes?

I was just curious if you guys had any tips on how to replicate some of the new factory brushed aluminum and hard plastic finishes on some of the higher class interiors...kinda like this

I'm not gonna copy the GT interior, but It does remind me kinda of the second gen dash and I will probably steal some ideas from it...

i guess you can stop at a machinest and ask them if they can build something like that.
or make it out of MDF and have it airbrushed, much cheaper....

A place called VC Finishes can coat just about anything in carbon fiber or brushed alum, even burlwood. They use a method called hydro something or other, basically a thin film of the specified coating is placed on top of a tank of water and a solvent, then the piece to be coated is submerged in the tank, the film actaully sticks to the part like a decal and the a clear coat is applied. I'm waitng for a couple parts to come back, and will post a pic soon.
