LS1 rear brakes on a Ford 9 inch?

I have a ford 9 inch under my 69 camaro and I also have the complete rear discs off of a 02 Firebird, the 9 inch has chevy pattern, can I use these brakes? What mods will I need to do??

I can't answer your question, but i can make it more complicate. I have brakes from a 98 TA rear with traction control. I am worried about the caliper bracket offset due to the outer reluctance ring (also longer axle). I think even non traction control LS1 axles are longer, thus offset brackets. Good thing there is also a set of LT1 brakes in my garage just in case.

I am using 4th gen "LS1" rear disc brakes on my 65 Impala. Here is a pic of the 9" with custom Moser chevy housing ends installed. The picture shows a backing plate from the 02 Trans Am donor car attached. Probably not the simple solution you were maybe looking for, but I already had the brakes and needed a custom width rear end anyway so this was a good choice for me.

OK, when I did my rear conversion I ordered the 9" kit from http://www.steeltechsolutions.com/index.htmlHe had to make my brackets offset also. I unded up using 85 camaro FRONT calipers in the rear. LATER, I used the same bracket and I modified it to fit my new brakes. I have LS1 rear calipers on 12" 1980- Trans-AM rotors. I had to have the rotors machined for my 1/2" studs and to go over my axle. Here is what it looked like. This is a Moser built 9" which was shaved to 53" I do not have a pic of the axle underneath with the calipers and whatnot.
