Looking for pro touring style seats for my 68 pro street/ pro touring conversion-

trying to stay around $300 per seat. Anyone ever use the Pro car seats on summit? I've been considering those in a high back with either velour or synthetic leather. It's kind of tough to judge online without sitting in them so any insight would be great.

thanks!

My friend has the low back ProCars in his Chevelle, very comfortable, great support and good quality for the price. Another guy I know has the high backs in his 67 Camaro, they were great in there too. They probably wouldn't work great long term for me because of my size, 6'5", 225, but these guys are in the 5'10" range. It might be good to update your post with your general size to get a better opinion.

I'm thinking the high back ones because I have 5 point harnesses for seat belts. I'm 5'11 175lbs for reference on seat size.

are the pro car seats okay for long term use or just a quick fix? I drive the car pretty often.

At $300 per seat your best bet is ... (depending on style)

http://www.cipherauto.com or https://www.corbeau-seats.com if you can budget a little more

I have had these, and know others that still have them and they are great

Don't take any chances. Find a speed shop that stocks a few on display and go sit in them and you'll learn real fast which seats are comfy for YOU -- you can't ask people. Or go sit in you buddy's car. Or something. WAY too important for your comfort to mail-order. Summit stores have them all, if you are anywhere near one.

That being said, newer OEM sport-type seats with bolsters and such are usually the comfiest, although heavy and may be hard to adapt. My 04 GTO seats are fantastically comfy, but a lot of work to get them to sit right. Cruise used-car dealerships, or junkyards.

I've got 90-96 Nissan 300zx seats and I absolutely love them. Bolstered and multi-adjustable...one of the best choices I made to my car's modification. They can come in manual or electric drivers track...mine are manual.

I Had them recovered at a local shop.

Being your car is a 68 the floor pans should be flat, you can easily adapt the Nissan tracks to fit your floor with no cutting most likely. I'm using the Nissan tracks in my 71
