On my 67 gto I have to push the hood down in the back after its closed to get it flush. Anything I can do to remedy that?

Original hinges and springs? Have you tried adjusting the hinges?

Not sure. I would assume stock hinges and springs. I may be max out door adjustment in the rear. I check when I get home.

To lower the rear of the hood you raise the front of the hinge if I remember right. Counter intuitive....

You can also lower the rear of the hinge. This will bring the hood closest to the cowl, down. It will bring the hood closer to the cowl, not a lot, but some.
If you mean that you physically push the rear of the hood down after closing it, then your hinges are dirty, gummed up, or have paint in them. Take some teflon dry lubricant spray and spray every pivot point, then move the hood up and down a dozen times and see how that goes.

I had the same issue. Loosened the bolts closest to the firewall and pushed the hood up to lower the back of the hinge. Helped a bit, but ultimately I had to buy new hinges to solve the issue.
