I have a 2nd gen f-body running a 700hp Pontiac motor that requires a vacuum pump. I bought Willwood 6P Superlites for the front and 4P for the back with 14" rotors but now have to get a master cylinder and booster. I'm considering the hydraboost option but don't want to blow money that I could be used elsewhere. The build has a DSE Quadralink, T56 Magnum, so it should put some power to the ground effectively. I'm wanting the braking to be the most reliable setup. There's a lot of bling under the hood so I want to also have something that looks good, though function is by far the most important requirement.

I need to finish the brakes and fuel lines to make it a runner. Already painted, etc. Still have some interior work to do but the braking system is my priority now. As a second question, should I run hand made lines or buy from InLine tube, given the master cylinder will not be stock? I don't mind buying a nice bender if that is what it takes but I want the cleanest look possible.

Your vacuum pump wont effect the brake booster. It operates on the internal side of the engine where the booster would use the vacuum from the intake manifold. What kind of vacuum do you have from you intake when the car is running?

From my personal experience I did not have any help from my booster with 13 of vacuum. I went to a hydroboost setup and not throw my self through the windshield if I am not careful. I no longer need to stand on my brake pedal to stop the car. I am also running a vacuum pump on my supercharged small block putting out close to 600 at the wheels.

Ordering the Hydratech setup for it now. That'll fix her right up.
