Hi all...was going to use E/T wheels LTIII on my car but the backspace I need up front won't clear these brakes. I'm needing an 18x8 with 5.5 backspace.
Anyone here eres with those brakes? What wheels did you use?

I have these brakes on an iforged seneca wheel. 18x9.5. Kore3 will send you a drawing of the brakes and you should send that to the wheel mfg. The key is to make sure the wheel hub is deep enough for the brakes to fit. The Z06 brakes calipers are large, to make it fit on an 8" wheel you have to move the spokes towards the front of the wheel which in turn eliminates the lip in the front.
Here is a sketch of what I'm talking about. (its 5.75" BS but you can do the math to see how much lip you have left in the front)

here is the fitment guide from kore 3 - as you can see, your hub needs to be at least 1.75" deep to clear your wheel spokes. http://www.kore3.com/downloads/fitment_templates/DOC0019.pdf

Thanks for that wheel suggestion, and the template.
I actually already have all the things needed...just need to find a wheel that has a thick enough pad or spokes that have enough curve to clear the brakes. Might just make my own...

I got my wheels from Jason Rushforth... Rushforth Super Spokes. GREAT wheels at a GREAT pricepoint! Still my favorite wheel design out there!
I'm also running KORE3 brakes... mine are the C5/C6 Z51 "hybrid" brakes. C5 calipers with the C6 Z51 DBA rotors.
NOTE: with the Z06 rotors as you'll either want to move your valve stem to the outside of the rim (non brake side) or you'll need to run flush valve stems to clear the calipers.

Those DO look great on your car! But I want to look for something with a classic stepped lip.

I'm running the C6 Z06 brakes with Forgeline WC3 wheels with thick pads. You might also look at the Weld RT/S wheels which are available with a thick pad as well.

I had actually forgotten all about the Welds! Those are really nice. The ONLY thing I can fault with them is that they only have one finish available. But I'll consider them

These clear Z06 brakes on my C10 and Camaro. I'm a dealer for them too. American Legend forged 3 piece

Those do look great, very nice finish! But...if I may make a suggestion. The holes lining up differently on each spoke, sometimes right on it sometimes not...looks a bit sloppy. I realise there's no way around it but I would have avoided making that design choice.

The one off custom route will have to wait until later. For now I'm going with an old classic...CCW...um...Classic. Getting a set made up all black. Since the Corvette brakes need so much room and the fronts arent so wide they will have a very narrow outer lip, basically they'll look like this...

Last time I checked (2008), the CCW Classics did not clear C6 Z06 brakes. You may want to call and confirm fitment.

Hi Andrew...I did. Spoke with them and sent them both ft and rr templates. They did mention that certain back spacing wouldn't work but they played with it and found one that did. I'm pretty certain I've seen Z06s with those wheels though.

Good deal. I just have useless, sometimes outdated information in my head...LOL...but always good to double check...Those are some of my favorite wheels.

I hear you! That would be one expensive mistake! Yeah I've always liked them too! I actually thought they were a lot more expensive than they are that's why I hadn't considered them. Good think I looked out of curiosity. Maybe the Weld guys buying them made a difference to their prices.

JP455....those CCW's you got - are they the 17" or...? Just wondering because I want to run the Z06 brakes and 340mm rotor up front but wondered if the classics fit. Theres a guy with a set of 4 17" classics that are 13" wide rims with 7.5" BS on all 4. I know I can make the backs fit since I am doing a mini-tub and a custom rear, and might just get the fronts cut and resized a little smaller width, but wondered about general fitment with the 17" rims.
