Yes, the door panel fits over the sheet metal in a 67.

I ordered panels, rear quarters, dash pad and center panel, etc from Modern Classic for my 67. He also makes rear qrtrs for my convertible. If you do order from Modern Classic, be patient. He is a small shop. The panels came after 6 weeks, dash pad took 9 weeks. To be fair, when I spoke to Marquez, they told me they also were backed up several weeks (8+) too. We have installed and look good. I am using with Felser's int door handles The door panels, rear qrtrs, dash and center dash & bezels are all MCI, the center console is not.
