I haven't been keeping up with the times over the past year so I was curious if there was any new gauges out besides the Auto Meter family of gauges which everyone and their momma has. I'm currently using Speed Hut gauges but they are kinda crappy. So what's out there 👍

Depends on what you are looking for. Lots of guys are using tablets or racepak. Dakota digital vhx. Oem look or aftermarket
My camaro had Dakota but my race car has a digital touch screen that stream's the EFI data.

Yeah the dang speedo keeps moving because it's picking up the signal from the tach. I rewired it like they said and nothing changed. I put a new cam in and now it's even worse. I gave up on em. Live and learn

Where are you picking up the tach and speed signal from? Both of my cars have SpeedHut gauges, and neither the GPS or normal speedo has ever had anything like that happen with a 6AL ignition box. If the GPS speedo does not have a clear signal it will jump around.

Also, which series of gauges did you use the low, mid, or high end?

Sorry you're having trouble, but I doubt it's the gauge's fault... I love my SpeedHuts.

I'm in agreement. There must be something else going on here. How about a video of what's going on?

Ive already sent Speed Hut a video and talked to then on the phone. They were the one's that told me what was causing my speedo to move and acknowledged that it was a issue with some of their gauges.

My buddy that did my harness for the pcm is gonna come see if he can get it to stop so I won't have to buy new gauges.

They need to be separated and shielded from each other.... Keeping in mind it's a fiberglass car whichever is known for causing these kinds of issues ....remember mid -60's corvettes with the distributer covers to prevent issues with the radios

Its a steel body car. They told me to separate them and i did as best as I could. The guy on the phone told me they were making changes to their gauges to prevent this from happening but that doesn't help me.

Not to even mention it was a pain in the ass to get the gas gauge set right. It wouldn't take any settings so they had me reclock it. It's not perfect but id be ok with it if that was the only issue.

First I've heard of any issues with Speedhut. Can you tell us what line so others can be aware.

Thanks

No one is saying other people don't have issues, but its not a rampant problem as far as quality control from what I read. There are lots of issues where the user was at fault also sensors or senders were bad.

Did you see where he sent his speedo back and they said it was fine but when he got it back it was still messing up so he put the stock speedo back in and it worked fine.
In my earlier post I mentioned Speed Hut telling me that they are aware that there was a issue with some of their gauges and they were making changes to combat the problem.

Ya gotta realize Speed Hut sells to people who are not on the pro touring site and the majority of customers aren't on forums to make post about them good or bad.

Ya gotta realize that PT.com isn't the only forum I am a member of or the only place I come when I look for feedback on things auto related... I read the thread and I also read others not from that particular user community and what I'm saying is the problems aren't always the fault of the gauge. I have seen bad grounds, senders and resistors causing issues that the customer found out via suggested troubleshooting along the way.

LOL... I sent you a PM on the wheel, not even thinking about your gauges. I've been thinking New Vintage separates like you have, two main gauges and four in the console. I like that Nardi wheel... is it polished billet or is it chrome? Anyway... whats the setup like with the gauges, is it a PITA or is it pretty straightforward? Mike Right now I have classic setup, Sun Tach on the column, oil pressure and water temp real not eSenders under the dash. I just finished restoring my console, so I want to get the 4-gauge pod and put it all together. There's a 10% off sale on NV right now which makes it even better. Mike
