Looking for some black lug nuts for Forgelines. I see many on eBay, but not sure if the quality and strength are any good.

Thanks Dale, I noticed they don't have open lug nuts in that style, do you cut long arp studs or use a different style?

Thanks, I feel maybe I should stick with steel. Plan on putting drag slicks on my car every now and then

We cut the long studs down. You could also cut the ends off of the lug nuts if you really want or need them open.
Also it sounds weird but one of my friends plastidipped my daily driver wheels dark grey and did the lug nuts as well.. I've been surprised that they haven't peeled yet, been about 8 months, and through the winter so far.
Might be an option to try..

I just picked up a set of McGard Spline drive lug nuts. The appear to be good quality. It does take a special tool to use them.

I loath spline drive lug nuts. They shouldn't exist.

I do like these.

Splines do suck! Looked up the Gorilla "race" lug nuts. I guess as long as your only racing with 1/2" studs you can use these. I couldn't find anything in 5/8". I do like them, just need to be bigger!

Thanks Gents, My only concern really is fitting in the Forge line wheels holes. Right now my China wheels barely allow the socket to fit inside and it has cause it to get marred up.

I hadn't seen those Gorilla nuts before. I like the knurl on the end. That would solve a problem I have with my current nuts being awkward to start with my Forgelines.

^^^^Exactly why I like them.....and part of me likes that they stick out because racecar....

RE: socket clearance. Any thin wall 3/4" socket should fit in just about any decent wheel (there are rare occasions where the splined lug nuts are required) so just make sure the lug nuts you purchase have a 3/4 hex.

I just ordered up a set of the Gorilla splined drive lugs, as I had little to no other option. My moser axles have 7/16 studs in the rear and this was it haha!

Can't wait to bolt on some Forgelines!

You know ... that I know ... where to get the 5/8" lug nuts. Only once source. LOL

I would redrill the axles for 1/2" studs.

I just have front lugnuts and rear lugnuts now haha. Luckily Gorilla uses the same size spline externally, so I won't have to have two thinwall sockets anymore.

funny that I've spent about a hr researching lugnuts.

Cant decide between open ended or closed. i will go with nickel plated or chrome.

Do you have any picks of them on the car?
