      corvette wheels on 2nd gen

Has anyone put the 17*11 zr1 wheels or the 18*10.5 double spoke z06 wheels on a 2nd gen bird. If so any pics and how did you mount them(adapters, etc). Did you have to cut anything to make them fit and are they flush or do they stick out of the well. thanks

I have a set of the 17*9 Camaro SS 5 spoke wheels which are the same as the ZR1 wheels, just narrower, and they do NOT fit the stock rotors. The bearing area is too large and the wheels wont mount flush. I was going to go with the Bear Brakes track system for the 2nd gen F-body, just dont have the money to spend right now, so I am just going to sell off the SS wheels till I can actually afford to go fast and do the car right.

You will need adapters. Search here for it. I know vette brakes seels them, but I thought I read some people like another brand (whose name escapes me right now) better.

Call Gonzalez Enterprieses in Fontana California. Raul makes billet aluminum adapters in ANY size or configuration you desire. Very nice products that I currently use! At $40 each, he is a lot cheaper than Vette Brakes.
